JA ended its fiscal year with outstanding results -- we reached roughly 34,500 students and raised more than $2 million for the second year in a row.
The student total was about 5 percent higher than last year and included 11 JA Company Programs, nearly three times the number of high school student companies formed in 2013-14. Another major highlight of the year was the successful pilot of JA Career Connections for Young Women, an after-school program held in partnership with Junior League of Hartford that served 15 high school juniors and sophomores from 9 area schools.
Many thanks to all of the classroom volunteers, event sponsors, educators, donors and other community supporters who made JA's incredible success this year possible.
