South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority’s CEO, Larry Bingaman Named As Laureate For Junior Achievement’s New Haven Hall of Fame

This year, JA is honored to welcome President & CEO of South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (RWA), Larry Bingaman as a laureate for the New Haven Hall of Fame. Mr. Bingaman has led the RWA through many financial and operational successes, including the development of the company’s first integrated five- year strategic plan, the achievement of the highest bond rating in the Authority’s history and the establishment of new operating and productivity initiatives that have saved customers millions of dollars annually.

Junior Achievement of Southwest New England’s 37th annual New Haven Hall of Fame dinner is on Thursday March 9th, 2017 at the New Haven Lawn Club from 5:00 – 9:00 P.M. Each year, more than 200 attendees gather to recognize New Haven County’s most distinguished business leaders, where JA honors Hall of Fame Laureates for their leadership and success in business, and community involvement. Past recipients include entrepreneurs, CEOs, and presidents of both public and private companies who achieved extraordinary successes and continue to help shape Connecticut.

Mr. Bingaman leads with a keen focus on sustainable and conscious business practices and is deeply involved in the community. He is the current chairman for the Greater New Haven Chamber of Commerce board and serves on the President’s Executive Council for Gateway Community College, as well as the Business Advisory Council at Southern Connecticut State University.  Mr. Bingaman was a 2016 inductee of Gateway Community College’s Hall of Fame and received the college’s Corporate Award for his commitment, dedication and support of higher education and social change. Mr. Bingaman is also a founding board member for the Connecticut Chapter of Conscious Capitalism.

Mr. Bingaman received a B.S. in Business Administration from California State University at Long Beach and an executive MBA from the University of New Haven. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in management with a focus on leadership and organizational change.

Junior Achievement looks forward to honoring Mr. Larry Bingaman on March 9th alongside other community and business leaders in New Haven.
