JA's Eventful Spring
Spring is Junior Achievement’s busiest event season, and this year’s was no exception. Thanks to the leadership and support of the dedicated event committee members and corporate sponsors, this year’s spring events realized near sellout crowds and collectively raised over $550,000 in support of JA programs. From March through June, guests of The New Haven and Hartford Hall of Fame dinners, Hartford Partners in Achievement Breakfast and JA Golf Classic enjoyed exceptional dining and golf while listening to inspirational stories from JA students, business leaders and educators.
Bowl-A-Thon, JA’s party with a purpose, continues to grow in popularity with 400 new bowlers this year totaling over 1200 participants who helped raise over $145,000 for JA. The revenue from this year’s Bowl-A-Thon and spring events will provide JA programs to more than 14,000 students. Bowl-A-Thon begins again this September, and the New Haven Partners in Achievement breakfast is scheduled for November 13th at the New Haven Lawn Club.
