Junior Achievement and The UPS Store Announce a Nationwide Giving Campaign

Hartford, CT., October 5, 2022- Now through the holiday season, Junior Achievement USA (JA) and The UPS Store (UPS) are partnering to collect donations to help fund JA programs that educate and empower school-aged students. All 5100+ UPS locations are participating and all customers making a purchase will be able to make a donation. Donations made in Connecticut stores will go to the local JA office.

The UPS program Start Small, Grow Big reinforces the company’s commitment to support local communities. Partnering with JA gives UPS the ability to directly impact thousands of students locally in Connecticut and over 3.3 million students across the United States.

With community support through The UPS Store donations, JA will be able to impact and inspire more students to explore career paths and develop life skills they will need to succeed in their futures. The JA curriculum ensures students have the skills to make and understand major financial decisions, to explore tangible career paths based on interests and passions, and give students the ability to engage with and create businesses.

Junior Achievement of Southwest New England’s vision continues to be:

To ensure that every student in Connecticut is inspired and empowered to take responsibility for their personal finances, explore their career hopes and dreams, and experience the power of entrepreneurship, thus becoming key contributors to the State’s, Nation’s, and Global economic growth and vitality”

Community members can make a difference for their youth through this partnership by visiting any UPS store and making a donation to support the vision of JA.

UPS’s Start Small, Grow Big Program kicked off with a $50,000 donation to Junior Achievement USA. A goal for their program was to support small business owners, both current and future. The UPS Foundation has supported JA USA for almost 40 years, contributing over $5.5 million, recognizing the impact JA has on the communities JA is present in.
