Scholarships available for seniors graduating this school year:

Junior Achievement of Southwest New England, Inc. Scholarship: JA of SWNE annually grants scholarships to students who: have participated in one or more JA programs during high school and/or have served as JA volunteers; have demonstrated leadership potential through school activities; and are actively involved in their community. For the 4th year in a row, there will be three scholarships available to high school seniors entering college as first-year students who have maintained at least a “B” average through high school.

Scholarships: The JA of Southwest New England Scholarship Program awards three recipients a onetime $1,000 award toward the first semester’s tuition. In July, JA will send the $1,000 directly to the recipient’s college institution. The three scholarships awarded are:

  • JA of SWNE, Inc. Scholarship: Awarded to a senior who actively participated in Junior Achievement program(s) during their high school career while demonstrating exceptional leadership, teamwork, and academic achievement.
  • Elaine Dwyer Scholarship: Awarded to a senior who participated in the JA Company Program (including JA Entrepreneurial Academy) during their high school career while demonstrating exceptional leadership, teamwork, and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Karl Flemke Memorial Scholarship: Awarded to a senior who participated in varsity athletics as well as Junior Achievement program(s) during their high school career while demonstrating exceptional leadership, teamwork, and academic achievement.

KPMG 2024 Future Leaders Program: The KPMG Future Leaders Program is a charitable initiative focused on developing future generations of women leaders. Funded by proceeds from the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit, the KPMG Future Leaders Program annually awards twenty-two female high school seniors the opportunity to enhance their personal growth throughout their college experience with annual scholarships, ongoing development and support, mentorship, and an introduction to golf. Application Due Date: February 1, 2024
The Selection Committee will select and notify the 22 recipients by April 15, 2024

Scholarship: $10,000 college scholarship per year for 4 years; A KPMG Future Leaders Retreat and ongoing support that will focus on leadership training, college transition, and career development; and a year-long executive woman mentor. Awarded to 22 high school female seniors annually.

JA USA and Babson College Scholarship: U.S. News & World Report has ranked Babson College the #1 undergraduate college for entrepreneurship for the past 20 consecutive years. Dr. Kerry Healey, the President of Babson College (and current member of the JA USA Board of Directors), has granted a yearly $20,000 scholarship per year for four years towards tuition for a JA student that attends Babson College.

Application Due Date: February 1, 2024

Scholarship: A yearly scholarship of $20,000 toward tuition per year for 4 years.

How to Apply: Apply for admission to Babson College and submit (through the applicant status page) a resume detailing your JA accomplishments and experiences. Click here for more information
